Job Description

Litigation Associate Attorney

Our client is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with approximately 4-7 years of civil litigation experience to join its Denver office. This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and is looking for significant responsibility handling complex matters from inception through resolution. Candidates with experience in business and commercial disputes, employment litigation, real estate matters, construction litigation, or other sophisticated civil litigation areas are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with substantial case management responsibilities, including:

  • Managing litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal filings
  • Conducting and defending depositions
  • Developing and implementing discovery strategies
  • Managing written discovery and e-discovery processes
  • Appearing in state and federal courts for hearings and other proceedings
  • Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
  • Assisting with trial preparation and trial proceedings when applicable

This opportunity offers significant autonomy and is well-suited for an attorney who can effectively manage matters with limited supervision while contributing to a collaborative litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, be licensed and in good standing with the Colorado Bar, and possess at least five years of civil litigation experience. Candidates should have strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills, along with the ability to independently manage cases, handle depositions and motions practice, and appear in court. A solid understanding of both the Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure is required, as is the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Trial experience, familiarity with e-discovery platforms such as Everlaw, and experience in commercial, employment, construction, or real estate litigation are considered a plus.

This Denver-based position offers a collaborative and mentorship-focused work environment, with hybrid flexibility available following an initial onboarding period. The role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with client origination opportunities and structured productivity-based bonuses. Attorneys also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, HSA and FSA options, life and disability insurance, paid time off, Colorado FAMLI benefits, a 401(k) with employer contributions, identity theft protection, and employer-paid parking.
